SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. The method for hardening the working body of a disc harrow includes applying a wear-resistant material to the working surface with limited surfacing zones. Wear-resistant material is applied in the surfacing zones from the inner hemispherical side of the working surface of the working body in the form of ellipsoidal hemispheres fused into its material with a height equal to 1:4 of the length of the minor axis of the ellipsoidal hemisphere. The length of the minor axis of each of the ellipsoidal hemispheres is equal to 2:1 of the thickness of the base of the working body, and the length of the major axis of the ellipsoidal hemisphere is equal to the thickness of the base of the working body, increased by 3 times. On the teeth of the working body, ellipsoidal hemispheres are applied with wear-resistant material at the same distance from each other with a gap equal to 1:2 of the length of the major axis of the ellipse, in three rows on three reinforcement lines, where the lines are wavy, and ellipsoidal hemispheres located above the depressions between the teeth, is applied with wear-resistant material in three rows along two lines of reinforcement, which also have a wavy shape. The gap between the ellipsoidal hemispheres located on the upper reinforcement line above the depressions is equal to the length of the minor axis of each of the ellipsoidal hemispheres.

EFFECT: increased wear resistance of soil-cutting parts and ensured during their operation the effect of self-sharpening of the blades with the formation of their serrated shape with optimal parameters, which helps to reduce resistance during soil cultivation.
