SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering and can be used in determining the reflective properties of artificial and natural coatings and materials of various designs. In the method, the radiometric reflectance meter contains an antenna connected to the first input of a directional coupler, a series-connected radiometric receiver, synchronous low-pass filter, high-pass filter, comparator, control unit, while the second input of the comparator is connected to the common bus of the radiometer, the first output of the control unit is the output bus of the radiometer, its second output is connected to the control input of the synchronous low-pass filter and combined with the control input of the microwave switch, whose input is connected to a series-connected current source and noise generator, and its first and second outputs are connected respectively to the matched load and the second input of the directional coupler. At the same time, an adjustable attenuator is introduced into the meter, its input is connected to the third output of the microwave switch, and the output – to the third input of the directional coupler, the output of which is connected to the input of the radiometric receiver.

EFFECT: technical result consists in simplifying the device and improving the accuracy of measurements taking into account the real characteristics of the elements used in the input path of the meter.
