SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to vehicular lighting systems. In the method, the vehicle includes a headlamp power control device and a lamp assembly with light emitting diodes containing a plurality of LED circuits connected in series together, and a detection line. LED circuits include a light emitting diode, a first resistor, and an optocoupler. Further, the first output of the first resistor, electrically connected to the anode output of the light emitting diode, the second output of the first resistor connected to the anode output of the optocoupler, and a cathode lead of a light emitting diode electrically connected to the cathode lead of the optocoupler. Said detection line is electrically connected to one of the LED circuits and has the first voltage value when all the light-emitting diodes in this set of LED circuits are operational, and the second voltage value when one of the light-emitting diodes has failed.
EFFECT: it is possible to detect light-emitting diodes that have failed.
