FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to vehicle lighting systems. Lighting device for a vehicle contains a photoluminescent portion and a light source. Photoluminescent section is located on a section of a downward facing portion of the vehicle door trim panel. Light source is located close to the downward facing portion and is configured to emit light of the first wavelength, directed to the photoluminescent portion. Photoluminescent portion is configured to convert the first wavelength to at least the second wavelength, longer than the first wavelength, to illuminate a surface under the vehicle.
EFFECT: improved ambient light quality.
