FIELD: organic chemistry, biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention describes the novel derivatives of amino acids or aminoalcohols of the formula (I) in any of groups I, II where N means nitrogen. Group I: X means CHR2OH where R2 means H, (lower alkyl)-amine or (lower alkyl)-imidazole; Y means Base-(CH2)n- where Base means nonhalogenated variable nucleoside base where n = 1-7; A means carbonyl; Z means H or OR3 where R3 means H, lower alkyl, (lower alkyl)-amine or (lower alkyl)-imidazole; W means CHR4OH where R4 means H, (lower alkyl)-amine or (lower alkyl)- -imidazole. Group II: A means carbonyl; X means Base-(CH2)n- where Base means nonhalogenated variable nucleoside base where n = 1-3; Y means -CH2OH; W means -CH2OH; Z means H. Compounds are analogs of oligonucleotides where furanose ring occurring in natural nucleic acid is substituted with amino acid or modified aminoalcohol residues. In some variants new compounds are useful for nonsense control of gene expression. Compounds can be used also as probes for hybridization of nucleic acids or as primers. EFFECT: new derivatives indicated above, valuable properties. 8 cl, 3 tbl, 34 dwg, 33 ex
