FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for producing iron ore granulate (1) used in sinter plants. Production of granulates includes intensive mixing of iron ore and / or concentrates of fine-grained iron ore, coke breeze and limestone with the addition of water (3) to form mixture (4). Mixture (4) is introduced into granulator (11) and granulated with the addition of water (3) to form raw granulate (12). Raw granulate (12) and water (3) are introduced into rolling drum (17) and raw granulate (12) is rolled to form granulate (1). Intensive mixing is carried out in an intensive mixer (5) with a drive power between 1 kW per 100 dm3 mixture and 10 kW per 100 dm3 mixture.
EFFECT: granulate fed to the sinter plant as a layer ensures homogeneous distribution of the grain size and thus a higher permeability.
