FIELD: sintering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing granular material of initial raw materials for sintering. When granulating compounding material of initial raw materials for sintering obtained as a result of compounding powdered iron ore, carbon material and auxiliary material in a granulator, water vapor is injected into the granulator to thereby increase a temperature of granular material of initial raw materials for sintering to a temperature greater than the temperature of compounding material of initial raw materials for sintering, before loading into the granulator, for at least 10°C. When the temperature of granular material of initial raw materials for sintering discharged from the granulator exceeds a value of 60°C, in addition to the water content level given as a result of water vapor injection, a water content level from process water, hot water or condensation water is added in such a way that to add a water content level equivalent to at least 0.5%, but no more than 3.0 wt.% of the water content level in granular material of initial ra materials for sintering after granulation.

EFFECT: invention provides an improvement of gas permeability, as well as an improvement of sintered ore productivity when loading granular material of initial raw materials for sintering into an agglomeration machine.
