SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neonatology, pediatric surgery and radiation diagnosis, and can be used for the differential diagnosis of intralobular and extralobular sequestration of the lung in a newborn. Perform computed tomographic study of the lungs with contrast enhancement. On tomograms in the frontal projection determine the gradient of increasing the density of lung tissue in the focus of sequestration in the arterial phase compared with the native phase, as well as the gradient of increasing the density of the tissue of the contralateral lung in the arterial phase compared with the native phase. Intralobar form of sequestration is diagnosed with a gradient of increasing the density of lung tissue in the focus of sequestration greater than the gradient of increasing the density of the tissue of the contralateral lung. They diagnose extrabaric form of sequestration with the value of the gradient of increasing the density of lung tissue in the focus of sequestration less than the gradient of increasing the density of the tissue of the contralateral lung.
EFFECT: method provides planning access and volume of resected tissue during surgery, which leads to a decrease in the time of the operation, the timing of postoperative nursing of operated newborns, as well as reducing the risk of intraoperative and postoperative complications by calculating the difference in the gradients of increasing the density of lung tissue in the focus of sequestration and the contralateral lung during different phases of contrast of a computer-tomographic study.
