FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for separating a lignocellulose particle fraction and a lignin particle fraction, in which crude lignin is formed from starting material, comprising lignocellulose particles and lignin particles, wherein the method includes adding stabilising chemical and/or hydrophobic chemical into the crude lignin in at least one step, so that at least a stabilising agent is added to the crude lignin, wherein said stabilising agent is a polysaccharide or a modified polysaccharide, and treating the crude lignin by separating the lignin particle fraction and the lignocellulose particle fraction from each other in at least one solid phase separation step. Invention also relates to a device for separating a lignocellulose particle fraction and a lignin particle fraction, in which the crude lignin formed from the starting material comprises lignocellulose particles and lignin particles, the device includes at least one separation device for separating the lignin particle fraction and the lignocellulose particle fraction from each other in at least one solid phase separation step, at least one first feeding device for feeding crude lignin to the separation device and at least one second feeding device for adding a stabilising chemical to the crude lignin, separately or in combination with a hydrophobic chemical in at least one step, so that at least a stabilising agent is added to the crude lignin, wherein said stabilising agent is a polysaccharide or a modified polysaccharide. In addition, the invention relates to a lignocellulose particle fraction and a lignin particle fraction and their use.

EFFECT: objective of the invention is to disclose a new method for separating lignocellulose particle fraction and lignin particle fraction.
