FIELD: forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the forestry, in particular to the pedunculate oak seed with a water content of 65 to 80 % storage. Acorns storage method is that the selected for further sowing acorns are placed in sacks, and in the fall, at the atmospheric air negative temperatures, laid in filled with sphagnum peat stone or concrete box. Bags are placed inside the peat layer so that the peat layer above the bags was at least 50 cm, and the air gap between the peat upper layer and the tightly closed iron cover in the volume was 20 % of the box volume.
EFFECT: invention enables the ability to maintain a stable microclimate during the entire storage period, prevent loss of moisture in seed material, eliminate the acorns germination in the spring, and also protect the seed against various rodents.
