FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire alarms, in particular to smoke detectors. Claimed smoke detector comprises an emitter, a photodetector and a tubular reflector with a mirror surface facing the inside of the through hole. Through hole is made with an unchanged cross-section, and the photodetector and the radiator are located in the entrance area into the through-hole and face the opening. In this case, the emitter is oriented so that the radiation from it is not sent directly and after reflection from the mirror surface into the photodetector. In the entrance to the through hole in the wall of the tubular reflector there is an opening for the placement of the radiator. Emitter is equipped with at least one diaphragm.
EFFECT: increase the sensitivity of smoke detection.
