SUBSTANCE: invention relates to authentication of security documents. Sensor for authenticating secure documents, wherein the security document comprises a security label having a phosphor and is characterized by a luminophore excitation wavelength in range of 400 to 1100 nm, in which there is a sensitivity zone for accommodating a security document to be inspected and having a first and a second surface, wherein the sensor comprises a radiating emitter and a radiation receiver arranged to receive radiation emitted in the sensor sensitivity area by the first surface of the security document, wherein the sensor comprises a radiation reflector arranged in close proximity to the second surface of the security document and configured to reflect a portion of radiation passing through the security document to be inspected, and falling on the reflector, thus providing amplification of radiation falling on the radiation receiver, due to its multiple re-reflections between said second surface and the reflector.
EFFECT: technical result consists in wider range of the same purpose tools.
