SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communication systems. In a first aspect of the invention, a method performs home network proximity service function (104) for authorising mobile terminal (100) to use a proximity service, said method comprising steps of: receiving a request from the mobile terminal to obtain proximity service authorisation in at least one other network, obtaining authorisation information from proximity service function (103, 105) of the at least one other network for which proximity service authorisation is requested, and providing the mobile terminal with authorisation information required for authorisation with said at least one other network for which the request is made.
EFFECT: enabling user equipment (UE) to obtain authorisation to use proximity services.
