FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure and can be used in the manufacture of the gear component of an automatic transmission. Method includes the first and second processes. During the first process, by forming the end portion of the material, a portion having multiple layers is formed. During the second process, the shape of the formed section is altered by punching with simultaneous pressure welding of the layers. First process includes the steps in which the first, second and third molded parts are formed.
EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to manufacture a gear component with a single thickness, with a different thickness, and with the required accuracy and strength.
