SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming. Hard plate is formed with ledges on one of its side. Mandrel is used to make shaped piece. Said ledges are machined to produce shaped piece closed end face. Bearing support can be made from composite material comprising metal base of cylindrical shape and with polymer layer coat applied on inner surface of cylindrical form. Bearing support has closed end face formed by multiple bent kedges. Steering gear comprises outer races of cylindrical bearing with closed end face comprising bent ledges.
EFFECT: higher quality and reliability.
