FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to surgical dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. Implant for osteosynthesis of fragments in fracture of the condylar process of the mandible contains the base and the shoulder, each of which is made in the form of elongated links of disks with holes for the placement of the fixing screws and flat plates connecting the disks. Shoulder is connected to the extreme disk of the base and is located on one side of the base perpendicular to the base, while the shoulder has a continuation in the form of two interconnected additional links, one of which is located at a right angle to the shoulder at its end, and the other link is located at an acute angle to the base.
EFFECT: invention provides high-quality osteosynthesis of fragments with various forms and severity of fracture of the condylar process of the patient's lower jaw, reliable support of the rigidity of fixation of osteotomized fragments of the condylar process, as well as the possibility of using the implant for right and left-sided fractures of the condylar process with a simultaneous improvement in the patient's quality of life.
