FIELD: beverage preparation devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to brewing unit (100) for a coffee machine. In brewing unit (100), there is brewing chamber (150) located in rotary brewing cylinder (152), which can be filled with ground coffee powder by means of filling device (20). To supply the coffee powder, the brewing chamber is equipped with filling opening (151). In order to eliminate undesirable deposits of ground product in the upper part of brewing unit (100), as well as to improve the degree of hygiene, the technical solution according to the present invention provides protrusion (110), which extends in the filling direction to the outside of brewing chamber (150), wherein protrusion (110) is designed in such a way that zone (22) of the discharge of filling device (20) is inserted, forming intermediate space (200) between protrusion (110) and the side wall of zone (22) of the discharge in such a way that protrusion (110) substantially completely surrounds outlet opening (25) of zone (22) of the discharge. Coffee powder supplied by filling device (20) falls from outlet opening (25) of the discharge zone (22) directly through hole (110') of protrusion (100) and filling hole (151) in brewing chamber (150), without touching protrusion (110).

EFFECT: hygienic conditions are improved.
