Calculate the threshold volume index (TI_v) according to the formulas: for women – TI_v=H∙(H-101)/7350, where H – height in cm; if the age (A) does not exceed 21 years, then determine the proper vital capacity of the lungs as PLVC=3126∙TI_v^1/3, if age > 21, then PLVC=3126∙TI_v^1/3∙(1-0.00464∙(A-21)); for men – TI_v=H∙(H-101)/9440, where H – height in cm; if age (A) does not exceed 21 years, then PLVC=3999.6∙TI_v^1/2, if the age is > 21 then PLVC=3999.6∙TI_v^1/2∙(1-0.00675∙(A-21)).

EFFECT: method provides an improvement in the method of determining the PLVC by increasing the accuracy of its calculation.
