FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used in clinical physiology, physical culture and sports, endocrinology and other fields of medicine. Based on gender, age, height (H) and body weight (BW) of a person the following is calculated: the body volume index (Iv), the proper volume of circulating blood (PVCB), the proper basic metabolism for the daily time interval (PDM), the proper minute basic metabolism (PMBM = PBM/1440). During the fixed time, exhaled air is collected into an airtight Douglas bag and the minute volume of respiration (MVR) is determined, in which the volume of oxygen absorbed when passing through the lungs of 100 ml of air, or the percentage of oxygen absorbed (POA), is determined, and the minute volume of oxygen absorption (MVOA) is calculated: MVOA=MVR⋅POA/100. The minute exchange (ME) is calculated using two formulas: ME(1)=MVOA⋅CEO, ME(2)= PMBM⋅MVR/ PVCB/RC, where CEO is the caloric equivalent of oxygen, and RC is the respiratory coefficient. The corresponding values of RC and CEO are selected from the table: the values of the caloric equivalent of oxygen at different RC. The value of a person’s minute exchange is considered real when the values of the formulas ME(1) and ME(2) coincide, if the values of the formulas ME(1) and ME(2) do not coincide, then to determine the real minute exchange, step-by-step shifts of the values of RC and CEO are carried out according to the table until the values of the formulas coincide.
EFFECT: method provides an increase in the reliability of the determination of human minute exchange due to the use of physically and physiologically sound formulas in calculations.
