FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to echocardiography, in particular to tracking the spatial limit of visual blockage. In the method, an interactive visual guidance tool for the device contains a display, an imaging probe, a view rendering module, configured to display an image on the image display device, moreover, the tool is configured to navigate the user in relation to the blockage of the field of view and contains a blockage module configured to detect and spatially define said blockage; and a demarcation tracking processor, configured to integrate an indicium visually representing the boundary with the image for joint visualization on the display device. Also the tool is configured to dynamically move the indicium in accordance with the movement of the field of view relative to the blockage of the field of view, in which the indicium has the shape of a straight line, and the processor is further configured to combine the second indicium with the ultrasound image for joint visualization on the display device, wherein the tool is additionally configured to dynamically move the second indicium in accordance with the movement of the field of view relative to the blockage of the field of view, in which the indicia jointly represent a V-shape to frame the blockage areas in the ultrasound image.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows real-time guidance and training of inexperienced or less experienced users in positioning the probe for optimum image quality.
