SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of processing low-magnetic carbon-containing raw materials, mainly man-made, in particular ash and slag waste. Method includes the preparation of raw materials by classification into small and large classes, while a large class is sent to the production of building materials, the shallow is exposed to microwave radiation with a frequency of 2000 to 3000 MHz, a power of 400 to 800 W, with an exposure time of 2 to 3 minutes and then divided into a magnetic fraction in a low-intensity magnetic field, which is sent for metallurgical processing, and non-magnetic fraction sent for further processing. Traveling magnetic field is used as a low-intensity magnetic field.

EFFECT: invention allows to increase the efficiency of extraction of weakly magnetic particles.
