FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing technogenic carbon-containing material and can be used in processing of various types of similar raw materials, in particular ash-slag wastes. Method of processing technogenic carbon-containing material includes classification of initial raw material with production of coarse and fine grades, magnetic separation of small class to produce magnetic and nonmagnetic products. Magnetic separation of small class is carried out in traveling magnetic field at frequency from 30 to 70 Hz and induction from 40 to 70 mT. Large class is subject to magnetic separation with separation of non-magnetic product, which is directed for further processing, and magnetic product, which is crushed, and crushed product is subjected to separation in traveling magnetic field at frequency from 30 to 70 Hz and induction from 40 to 70 mT to produce magnetic product and non-magnetic product. Magnetic products of small and large classes are supplied for agglomeration and further for metallurgical processing, and nonmagnetic products are directed for further processing.

EFFECT: high efficiency of producing end products without using chemical transformations and low environmental load on the environment.
