FIELD: satisfaction of human vital requirements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the stabilization of active corrosion of metal products, in particular archaeological finds from iron and its alloys, and can be used in archeology and museum work. Method includes cleaning the archaeological object from loose corrosion products and soil contamination, processing in the working solution cyclically in an ultrasonic field, rinsing until complete release from chlorine ions and drying, while after rinsing they monitor the presence of chlorine ions in the archaeological object by testing in a wet chamber, and as a working solution a solution of acetone in distilled water 1:1 is used mixed with a solution of sodium sulfite in distilled water with a concentration of 0.001–0.05 mol/dm3.
EFFECT: acceleration of the process of stabilization of active corrosion of archaeological finds while simplifying the method.
