FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heterophasic polypropylene copolymer obtained using catalysis with a single polymerisation center on a metal. Heterophasic propylene-ethylene copolymer comprises (i) a propylene homopolymer and (ii) an ethylene-propylene elastic (EPE) phase dispersed in the matrix. Heterophasic propylene-ethylene copolymer has a xylene cold soluble content (XS) of 20–40 %, melt flow index MFR2 0.5–100 g / 10 min. Content of ethylene in the xylene cold soluble fraction of said heterophasic propylene-ethylene copolymer is 70–90 wt. %. Xylene cold soluble fraction of heterophasic propylene-ethylene copolymer has an intrinsic viscosity (IV) of 3.0 dl / g or more. Melting enthalpy (ΔHpla) of the heterophasic propylene-ethylene copolymer is 10–30 J/g at a temperature of 0–130 °C. Method for producing a heterophasic copolymer, an article and use of the heterophasic propylene-ethylene copolymer in the manufacture of an article are also described.

EFFECT: technical result is to obtain heterophasic copolymers with high fluidity and good strength properties, which have higher rigidity with comparable toughness.
