FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates essentially to a dual purpose tow hook. Dual purpose tow hook comprises a body forming a tow hook and an integral step formed in the body. Body is asymmetric in shape and includes a first free end and a second free end. Each of the first and second free ends is made with at least one mounting hole for mounting the body of the tow hook directly onto the vehicle. Said step is recessed in an upper surface of the body and has a corrugated surface extending between the first end wall and the second end wall. Step is formed in said body between said first and second free ends.
EFFECT: improved usability of the step for inspecting and servicing components in the engine compartment of a vehicle.
