FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalytic method for carrying out the reaction of the partial oxidation of dimethyl ether (DME). Use of a copper-containing system deposited on alumina as a catalyst for obtaining a hydrogen-rich gas mixture by partial oxidation of dimethyl ether is described, with copper oxide in an amount up to 20 wt.%, except 10 wt.%, the rest is Al2O3. Method of producing a hydrogen-enriched gas mixture by the partial oxidation of dimethyl ether in the presence of an oxide catalyst is carried out with the above described use of a copper-containing system as a catalyst.
EFFECT: production of hydrogen-enriched gas mixture, which can be used to power fuel cells for various purposes, including for fuel cells.
