FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a veterinary composition for topical and external use for the treatment or prevention of ectoparasite infection in animals. The composition contains an effective amount of the isoxazoline compound of formula (I), while the substituents are as specified in the claim, and a veterinary acceptable liquid carrier, while the liquid carrier contains from 1 to 50 wt %/vol. N, N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide as a solvent. The invention also relates to a method for the treatment or prevention of infection of an animal with ectoparasites, including the point introduction or irrigation of the specified veterinary composition for topical and external use.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides good penetration of the drug when applied topically and preserves an acceptable cosmetic appearance of the animal.
