To determine the indications for the treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma with the help of BDNF in the lachrymal fluid (LF) of the patient, the concentration of BDNF is determined by the method of non-competitive enzyme immunoassay (EIA). When the concentration of BDNF in LF is less than 63 picograms/ml (pg/ml), its administration is shown.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides for the determination of indications for the treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma with the help of BDNF.
