SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to assess the effectiveness of neuroretinoprotection of primary open-angle glaucoma. Method for evaluating the effectiveness of neuroretinoprotective treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma with the use of the drug Retinalamin includes determination of the tear fluid before and after treatment, the content of the neurotrophic brain factor (brain derived neurotrophic factor or BDNF), while reducing the content of BDNF by at least 15 % of the initial indicator, the result of neuroretin protection is evaluated as effective.
EFFECT: invention can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of neuroretin protection of primary open-angle glaucoma.
