SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology. Method for evaluating the effectiveness of neuroretinoprotective treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma with the use of the Retinalamin® drug, which includes determining the concentration of a neurotrophic brain factor (brain derived neurotrophic factor or BDNF) in the tear fluid, is characterized in that the study is carried out after treatment, in addition, the concentration of neuron-specific enolase (neuronspecific enolase or NSE) is additionally determined in the tear fluid, after which the BDNF/NSE ratio is determined and with value of 1.3–2.0 thereof, a balance between neurotrophic-neurodegeneration processes is stated, with a value of more than 2.0, predominance of neurotrophic is stated, and treatment in these cases is assessed as effective or satisfactory; when the value of the BDNF/NSE ratio is less than 1.3, the prevalence of neurodegeneration processes is stated, and treatment is assessed as ineffective or unsatisfactory.

EFFECT: invention can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of neuroretinoprotection of primary open-angle glaucoma.
