SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines. Said internal combustion engine with an internal combustion engine and a cooling system, which includes a coolant pump, main cooler (30), heating heat exchanger (28), bypass (34) bypassing heating heat exchanger (28), coolant channels in the internal combustion engine, as well as a regulating device with an actuator for controlled distribution of the coolant depending on at least one local temperature of the coolant, characterized in that when actuating the actuator in one direction, the regulating device in first position (72) allows the flow of coolant through the internal combustion engine and heating heat exchanger (28) and blocks the flow of coolant through bypass (34), as well as main cooler (30); in second position (88) additionally allows the flow of coolant through bypass (34) and in third position (96) additionally allows the flow of coolant through main cooler (30).
EFFECT: invention provides the simplest and most economical conditions for adapting the flow of coolant through individual components.
