FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the cooling system of internal combustion engine. Internal combustion engine, including cooling system, which includes cooling agent pump (40), main cooler (38), heating heat exchanger (36), cooling agent channels (28, 30) in internal combustion engine (10), as well as adjusting device (20) with actuating element (26) for controlled distribution of coolant depending on at least one local temperature of coolant, characterized in that adjusting device (20) can be connected by means of connecting line to equalizing reservoir (106) of coolant, and adjustment device (20) when actuating actuator (26) in direction: in first main position (80) allows cooling agent flow through cooling engine (10) cooling channels (28, 30), and also through heating heat exchanger (36) and blocks the coolant flow through main cooler (38) and besides closes the connecting line, in the second main position (96) releases the connecting line and in the third main position (126) additionally allows cooling agent flow through main cooler (38).
EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency of engine cooling.
