SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technique of igniting combustible mixtures using an electric spark. Control method of the capacitive ignition system of aircraft engines is that during the operation of the ignition system, the amplitudes of the first and second half-waves of each pulse of the discharge current of the storage capacitor caused by switching the energy stored in the storage capacitor are measured, exceeding the set reference value, due to the absence of exceeding the amplitude ratio of the first and second half-waves of each discharge current of the storage capacitor, caused by the commutation of the energy stored at the storage capacitor, which exceeds the set reference value, the reference value of the ratio of the amplitudes of the first and second half-waves, judge the performance of the ignition system.

EFFECT: invention allows to increase the reliability of monitoring the performance of capacitive ignition systems of aircraft.
