FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ignition of combustible mixtures using an electric spark, in particular to capacitive ignition systems, and can be used to control ignition systems installed on an engine. Method of controlling operability of high-voltage capacitive ignition systems of gas turbine engines, which consists in controlling the time between successively following pulses of the discharge current of the storage capacitor of the ignition unit to the ignition plug, when the time between successively following pulses of the discharge current of the storage capacitor of the ignition unit to the ignition plug of the specified control value is exceeded, the operability of the ignition system is determined, at that, additionally determining the presence of at least two discharging current pulses of the activator capacitor through the primary winding of the pulse high-voltage transformer, the secondary winding of which is connected to the discharge circuit of the storage capacitor, and a switching discharger, which occur before one or more pulses of the discharge current of the storage capacitor of the ignition unit to the ignition plugs, by the presence of two or more pulses of the discharge current of the capacitor of the activator through the primary winding of the pulsed high-voltage transformer, which secondary winding is connected to the discharge circuit of the storage capacitor of the ignition unit, and the switching discharger, make a decision to replace the ignition plug.
EFFECT: improving reliability of control of technical condition of capacitive ignition system of aircraft engines.
