BORON OXIDE IN FCC PROCESSES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC C10G11/18 C10G11/04 B01J21/02 B01J29/08

Abstract RU 2678446 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a fluid catalytic cracking process. Described is a method for cracking hydrocarbon feedstock under fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) conditions, which includes: adding one or more components with boron oxide on FCC-compatible inorganic particles to cracking particles in an FCC unit; where FCC-compatible inorganic particles are a first type of particle placed in the FCC unit, with a second type of particle having a composition different from the first type of particles; the first type of particle contains one or more components with boron oxide and a first matrix component; the second type of particle has a composition different from the first type of particles, and includes a second matrix component, and is active for hydrocarbon cracking; the first type of particle and the second type of particle are mixed together; FCC-compatible inorganic particles contain matrix material and non-zeolitic material; one or more components with boron oxide are present in an amount in the range of 0.005 to 20 % by weight of FCC-compatible inorganic particles; and cracking particles are present in the range of 60–99 wt. % and FCC-compatible inorganic particles are present in the range of 1–40 wt. %.

EFFECT: technical result is a reduced yield of hydrogen and coke for different conditions of the FCC unit and hydrocarbon feedstock.
