FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of shape steel hot-rolled stock for building metal structures from a strip breakdown in a compact metallurgical complex. Method comprises preheating the strip breakdown to a temperature of 570÷650 °C, local heating longitudinal zones of local heating of the strip breakdown corresponding to stiffness angles of the shaped building profile immediately before a rolling pass to a temperature of 950÷1,050 °C at 450÷600 °C/s, fixing geometrical dimensions and relative positioning of the profile flanges after the rolling pass by means of accelerated local cooling of said zones to a temperature of 350÷430 °C at 180÷250 °C/s. Strip breakdown is used with the thickness hs, satisfying the condition: h≤hs≤3h, wherein h is the thickness of the profile flange; wherein before rolling, zones of local heating is transversely upset to form longitudinal thickenings, the upset distance is adjusted. Device comprises an unwinder for unwinding the strip breakdown from a drum, a sectional pass-through inductor, a continuous group of rolling stands, a unit for accelerated cooling of shape rolled stock in the form of a roller quenching machine, a flying cutoff for cutting a profile to a measured length, and a rack cooler for cooling shape stock in air.

EFFECT: expanded technological capabilities and improved quality of the manufactured profile.
