SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a sensor device for measuring the amount of fuel in the fuel tank of a vehicle, a method for measuring the amount of fuel in the fuel tank of a vehicle, vehicle to implement the above method. Said sensor device contains a capacitive probe. Said capacitive probe includes a first conductor and a second conductor, a radio to generate a signal based on a measurement associated with the capacitive probe, wherein the capacitive probe is configured to send the above signal to the first conductor for transmission using the capacitive probe as a transmitting antenna. To measure the amount of fuel in the fuel tank of a vehicle, sensor measurement data is generated using the above capacitive probe and a signal is transmitted based on the sensor measurement data using the capacitive probe as a transmission antenna.
EFFECT: exclusion of wires for sensors in the fuel tank of a vehicle, reducing its weight, improvement of its performance and lesser time to install the sensors.
