FIELD: paint industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in coatings and massive products to obtain a rich black colour and absorption of waves in the visible region of the spectrum. Black coating has a thickness of 1–50 microns and includes a polymer film and from 0.01 to less than 5 wt% based on the total dry weight of the black pigment film containing thermally obtained graphene carbon particles. Said graphene carbon particles are produced by introducing a hydrocarbon precursor capable of forming particles of a two-carbon fragment into a thermal zone with a temperature of more than 3,500 °C. Thermally produced graphene carbon particles have an average aspect ratio greater than 3:1 and a BET specific surface area greater than 70 m2/g. Polymer film contains a thermosetting or thermoplastic film-forming resin. Method for preparing a black coating composition comprises dispersing said graphene carbon particles and a film-forming polymer in a solvent. Product includes a polymer matrix and the black pigment dispersed therein.
EFFECT: invention allows to improve the characteristics of blackness and provides a minimum absorption of 80 % in the wavelength range of 400–700 nm.
