SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an encoder and a machine-readable medium for image processing. Said encoder contains an input for receiving moving image data, a motion prediction module for use in encoding the moving image data by encoding each block with respect to the corresponding reference portion of another frame of the sequence, wherein the moving image data of the plurality of frames contains a screen capture stream, the motion prediction module is configured to limit each of the motion vectors of the screen capturing stream by units of whole pixel displacements in one of said measurements, a controller configured to switch the motion prediction module between the first mode, in which the motion vector is not limited by units of whole pixel displacements, and the second mode, in which the motion vector is limited by units of whole pixel displacements in one of the mentioned measurements, wherein the controller is configured to switch the motion prediction module to the second mode depending on the determination that the moving image data currently being encoded contains a screen capture stream.
EFFECT: improved prediction of motion of moving images.
