FIELD: agriculture; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method of studying cutting stalks of agricultural crops includes placing the stalks in the holders, grabbing and cutting them with a cutting tool, measuring the cutting height. Holders rigidly installed on the conveyor in the form of an endless belt. Conveyor is moved to the cutting element with a speed corresponding to the speed of movement of the machine intended for harvesting the crop, cutting the stems with a cutting element in the form of a screw, which mimics the working body of the harvesting machine, with the rotational speed necessary to cut the crop being studied, then return the conveyor with the remnants of the stems in the holders to their original position and measure the cutting height and visual assessment of the quality of the cut.
EFFECT: use of the claimed invention allows the expansion of the functionality of the method of studying the cutting of the stems.
