FIELD: motor vehicles industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is the vehicle main and backup air supply system air dryer (8) controlling method. Using the compressor (1), with drive from the corresponding electric motor (4) performing both the of the main air tank (2) main air supply and the back-up air tank (10) back-up air supply. Wherein produced by the compressor (1) compressed air is directed through the in-series connected air dryer (8), drying produced by the compressor (1) compressed air. Wherein the air dryer (8) drying agent is regenerated with dried compressed air. Wherein, at the back-up air supply stage, reducing or blocking used for the air dryer (8) regeneration air flow, so that at the back-up air supply stage, as distinct from the main air supply, to a greater extent or completely use produced by the compressor (1) air flow for the back-up air tank (10) filling. Also proposed is the air dryer controlling device.
EFFECT: enabling the continuous air supply provision with simple technical means and thus the vehicle quick starting.
