FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgical production and is suitable as an element of tooling for the production of non-ferrous castings on injection molding machine. Piston assembly of the injection molding machine contains a piston, a rod with a longitudinal channel for the refrigerant and a cover with a conical side surface and a threaded shank connected to the surface of the longitudinal channel of the rod. Piston assembly contains a tube placed with a lateral clearance in the longitudinal channel of the rod and connected with its front end to the cover shank, the piston is designed as a piston-sleeve, the ends of the cover and the rod are connected to each other; ledges are made at the rear end of the cover and in the front part of the rod to accommodate the ends of the piston sleeve.
EFFECT: maximum strength, durability and manufacturability of the assembly are provided.
