SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used as an element of equipment for production of non-ferrous castings at injection molding machines. Piston assembly of injection molding machine includes connected to each other piston and rod with longitudinal channel, in which pipeline with a side gap is arranged, note here that lateral surfaces of the first one form rear circular groove connected by rear crosswise openings with longitudinal channel of rod, and front ones with piston cooling channels formed by grooves of its outer ring side surface separated by walls from its ends and closed bush with wear-resistant material. Between the ends of the piston and the rod there is a disc with no gaps, the disc is connected by its hollow tail to the surface of a blind longitudinal channel of the rod made from its front butt end, to the bottom of which there is a sealing element of the rear end of the pipeline connected by its front end to this shank.

EFFECT: higher durability and strength of the piston, as well as quality of casting.
