DEVICE FOR MAKING HOLE IN PIPELINE UNDER PRESSURE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC F16L41/04 B23B41/08

Abstract RU 2680002 C1

FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transport of liquids and gases and can be used before preparing the pipeline for dismantling and during repair work on the pipeline. In the method, the device for making a hole in a pipeline under pressure contains a branch pipe installed in the pipeline, a shaft with a cutting tool, a mechanism of reciprocating movement of the shaft and a centering element in the form of a cylindrical band, made on the wall of the nozzle. Novelty of the invention is that as a cutting tool a hammer in the form of the regular cone is used, the base of which has a coaxially arranged tube mounted with the possibility of axial movement in a longitudinal hole made on the shaft. As a mechanism for the reciprocating movement of the shaft, a lid of the wedge gate valve with a sliding spindle without a flange part is used. Said lid of the valve is located coaxially with the nozzle and is sealed to the free end of this nozzle by welding. Said lid of the valve contains a hermetically located spindle with a steering wheel at the upper end. And the lower part of the spindle connected to the valve wedge gate is removed. In this case, the spindle is connected to the shaft by means of a sleeve, into the hole of which the lower end of the spindle is pressed in from above, and the upper end of the shaft from below. Radial holes are drilled on the shaft under the sleeve. Through radial holes are drilled on the tube near the base of the striker. Above these holes under the upper end of the tube from the side wall of this tube there is a through longitudinal groove in which one end of the pin is pressed into the radial hole made on the shaft. Further, a compression spring interacting with the tube and a hollow cylinder serving as a stop for the compression spring are successively installed above the tube of the hammer into the longitudinal hole of the shaft. Said hollow cylinder with the upper end rests on one end of the pin, pressed into the radial hole drilled from the side wall of the shaft. On the inner wall of the belt of the centering element there is an annular groove provided with a rubber sealing ring. On the side wall of the nozzle there is a hole opposite to which a pipe is welded to the outer wall of this nozzle to drain liquid from the cavity of the pipeline.

EFFECT: in the proposed device, the functionality is expanded by ensuring the removal of fluid from the lower part of the cavity of the pipeline being repaired and the design is simplified due to the absence of a drive for rotational motion of the shaft.
