FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for curing a polymer adhesive composition using microwaves and a method for attaching a thermoplastic material are proposed. Said polymer adhesive composition, curable with the use of microwaves, contains ionic liquid [A]+a[B]a-, at the same time [A]+ is a cation, and [B]a- is an anion, and a is an integer. In this case, the cation [A]+ is an ammonium cation [R1'R1R2R3N]+, cation of phosphonium [R1'R1R2R3P]+, sulfonium cation [R1'R1R2S]+, heteroaromatic guanidinium cation R3R3'N(C=NR1R1')NR2R2', where R1, R1', R2, R2' and R3, R3' represent hydrogen or organic residue. When attaching a thermoplastic material, a thermoplastic material is prepared and applied to the surface of its specified ionic liquid.

EFFECT: invention provides good adhesion of hot melt adhesives containing ionic liquid, the use of which allows to improve the localization of heat supplied by means of microwaves.
