FIELD: electronics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of vacuum electronics, namely, equipment for electron-beam processing of materials. Cathode block includes a housing 1 with a high-voltage insulator 2 installed in it, in the central hole of which there is a metal sleeve 3, inside the sleeve 3 there is a multi-contact electric vacuum connector 4, on the inner cylindrical surface of the metal sleeve 3 on the vacuum side, a removable cartridge 5 is installed, the control electrode (Wenhelt electrode) 6 is located on the outer cylindrical surface of the sleeve 3 on the vacuum side, a cap nut 7 ensures the fixation of the cartridge 5 and the control electrode (Wenhelt electrode) 6. Connector 4 contains a vacuum electrical insulator 8, into which holes the pin contacts 9 are soldered. Cartridge 5 includes an electrical connector 10, a return electrical contacts 11, a cathode holder 12, a disk cathode 13 and a heater 14. Multi-vacuum electrical connector 4 is fixed inside the metal sleeve 3 by vacuum soldering. Metal sleeve 3 is fixed in the hole of the high-voltage insulator 2 by vacuum soldering. Inner cylindrical surface of the metal sleeve 3 on the vacuum side is a guide for an easily detachable counterpart of the electrical connector 4 with a cathode assembly mounted on it. After pumping out the vacuum volume of the welding electronic unit to a high vacuum, the heating current is supplied to the heater 14 and the bombardment voltage between the heater 14 and the disk cathode 13.
EFFECT: expanding technological capabilities, simplifying the work of assembling and replacing the cathode assembly of an electron gun, and reducing the recovery time of the gun in the event of a cathode or heater failure.
