SUBSTANCE: disclosed a system for identifying the location of an external feature of a vehicle when approaching a user of a vehicle, comprising vehicle (1) comprising a steering system, a drive system, a braking system, a processor, and a memory; control module (2) connected to the processor and configured to receive a wireless transmission from a mobile device indicating the proximity of the user to the vehicle; brake module (3) connected to the control module and configured to illuminate a lighting device upon reception of the wireless transmission to identify the location of a vehicle feature.
EFFECT: method for determining a trunk button location for the end user is proposed.
