SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a vehicle access system and method. Vehicle access system implementing the method comprises: lockable door lock and a control unit that causes the lock to unlock when receiving a coded signal that matches a predetermined coded signal, recorded in the control unit and represents a combination of actions on at least one previously existing component of the vehicle. Control unit is adapted to compare the received coded signal with a predetermined coded signal.

EFFECT: access to a vehicle without using keys is provided.
