FIELD: metallurgy; devices used for refining and teeming ingots and blanks of large diameter from metals and metal alloys susceptible to segregation during teeming.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes melting and refining of metal material and casting of refined molten material by nucleus method. Refined molten material is fed to spraying nozzle for nucleus casting through transfer unit ensuring retaining of cleanness of refined material. Jet is formed from drops of molten refined material by impingement of gas with flow of refined molten material escaping from channel; gas is fed to flow of molten refined material at ratio of mass of gas to mass of molten material lesser than 1. Device proposed for realization of this method consists of communicating melting and refining units, transfer unit and nucleus casting units. Proposed method and device may be used for refining and casting of supercomplicated nickel-based alloys such as 716 and 718 and some titanium alloys, steels and cobalt-based alloys which are susceptible to segregation in casting. Provision is also made for manufacture of parts from blanks of large diameter, at least 12 inch which show minimum segregation and are practically free from defects of casting, such as liquation spots.
