FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing details from alloys of chemically active metals, in particular, to filtering an alpha-solid inclusions from titanium alloys. Installation contains a vessel keeping titanium alloy in a melted state, a melt drain, a sump to receive and keep the melt, a filter arranged between the vessel and the sump to prevent an ingress of, at least, some alpha-solid inclusions in the sump. The filter has a porous surface provided with a good few holes, their size allowing passage of titanium alloy melt and separation of alpha-solid inclusions, the filter being made from a metal material with the melting point exceeding that of the titanium alloy and, at least, partially insoluble in melted titanic alloy.
EFFECT: removal of alpha-solid inclusions from titanium alloys without notable corrections in production details from titanium alloys.
